Why "Verso l'Alto"?
Our name is Italian for "to the heights," the motto of a Catholic saint named Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. He was a normal young man who loved his friends, going on adventures, serving the poor, and most of all loved Jesus. He inspires us to see God in everyone around us and not be afraid to chase after Jesus! We follow his example of always trying to get closer to Christ and live abundantly like Jesus invites us to in the Gospels (John 10:10). Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us! (That's him rock climbing and his handwriting on the picture.)
